Can PaperVision Capture services for Forms Magic be installed on a Windows domain controller?

PaperVision Capture Forms Magic processing is not supported on a Windows Server acting as a Domain Controller, and no Forms Magic Project settings can be accessed in the Admin Console.

How to enable the Direct Launch option to be used by all users

The Direct Launch option changes the way the document viewer launches and displays documents. The Direct Launch method passes a URL to the operating system that tells it to launch an executable that will then open the Web Assistant and display a document. With Direct Launch, there is no bi-directional communication with the Web Assistant. For example, altering index values, adding documents, or checking documents in or out will not automatically update the search results window.

Search criteria that includes brackets [ ] in ImageSilo are not returning any search results

Executing a search that includes brackets as part of the search criteria (i.e. [A-B]) is not returning any search results.

When is encrypted data automatically decrypted?

If a data group is stored encrypted “at rest” (i.e. encrypted in the entity storage path with an encryption key), how does the data get decrypted?

Certain PDF files will not import into PaperFlow

When importing certain PDF files into a PaperFlow batch, the PDF may not be imported nor display an error message. This is due to the PDF using an “advanced” format, such as certain textual-based PDF’s. (NOTE: image-only PDF’s generally do not fall into this “advanced” category.)

“There was an image that caused OCR processing to fail” error when clustering certain PDF files in Forms Magic

When clustering certain PDFs files in Forms Magic, after clicking Start Clustering the following error is returned “There was an image that caused OCR processing to fail”.

How to configure a Batch Splitting step to split on a blank value

In PaperVision Capture a batch splitting step can be configured to meet one or more of many conditions. In some cases it may be desirable to split a batch based off a blank value within an index field. This can be achieved by using a String Comparison or Regular Expression.

Executing match and merge using values with leading zeros in a .csv file.

Any value that contains a leading zero when used in a .csv file is stored as text because these values when stored as integers would remove the leading zeros. (i.e. 0608 would display as 608).
