This error message indicates the ASPI layer of the system is not correctly installed.  To resolve this problem, you need to install the Adaptec Easy SCSI software.  Adaptec Easy SCSI generally comes bundled with any Adaptec card purchased, or can be purchased separately.

If Adaptec Easy SCSI is already installed, you may need to download and install the update available on their website at:
