Batches Stuck in Transmission on Single Operator Console
Batches submitted from a single operator’s workstation may go into an ‘In Transmission’ state and stay there while other workstations are transmitting batches without any issues. The following article will go over troubleshooting steps to resolve batches stuck in this state.
Summary
Checking that the Data Transfer Agent is running
1. Open the Services app on Windows
2. Scroll down to “PaperVision DataTransferAgent1” service
3. Note the startup type of the service to verify it is not disabled
a. If disabled, right click the service and click properties
b. On the General Tab set the startup type to “Automatic”
c. Click Start and wait for the service to start up
d. Click OK
4. If the startup type is “Automatic” but the service is not listed as running right click the service and select Start
5. Wait until the automation service next runs to verify the batch status
Checking permissions on the batch path
1. Launch the Services app on Windows
2. Scroll down to the “PaperVision DataTransferAgent1” service
a. Note what user this service is being run as
3. Launch the PaperVision Capture Setup Tool on the workstation
4. Click on the “Operator Console” tab
a. Remember or copy the local batch path
5. Launch File Explorer and navigate to the local batch path from the previous step 6. Go up one directory level
7. Right click on the local batch path folder and click to properties
8. Click on the security tab
9. Give the user from step 3 read and write permissions to this folder
a. Click on ‘Edit’ in the security tab
b. Select the user or group they belong to in order to highlight them
c. In the Permissions section beneath, make sure boxes next to ‘Read’ and ‘Write’ are both checked
d. Click ‘OK’ then click ‘OK’ again to close both properties boxes
10. Wait until the automation service next runs to verify that the batch status
Retransmitting a batch
1. Launch the PaperVision Capture Operator Console
2. Click "File"
3. Click "Retransmit Batches"
4. Wait until the automation service next runs to verify the batch status
