Description

What is the proper way to burn a Data Group to a CD or DVD?

Summary

In order to burn a CD or DVD, you must have third-party CDDVD-burning software. Start the CDDVD-burning software and, depending on how the software adds files to the CD, drag the DATAGRP folder to the root of the CD or DVD (all of the folders/files beneath the DATAGRP folder will be added automatically).

Next, rename the CD or DVD volume label (by default, it will normally be named NEW or a string of numbers) to the same name as the 8-digit data group ID (it's the same name as the first folder under the DATAGRP folder). Click the START or BURN button to begin burning, if the software asks if you would like to close or finalize the CD or DVD, select YES.
