Cannot open database requested in login “PAPERVISIONDM”. Login fails.

Description


When a user attempts to connect to an existing database, they may receive the following message:

PaperVision was unable to connect to the SQL Server. The connection attempt returned the following message:

Cannot open database requested in login “PAPERVISIONDM”. Login fails.

Summary


This error message occurs because the PAPERVISIONDM database does not exist on the specified SQL Server.

This error message can also occur when the user has entered a username that exists in the SQL database but is not properly associated to the PaperVision Enterprise database within SQL.
