Check all Database connection settings (server name or IP address, database name,password and username are correct, connection type and port number) in the Database Connection Wizard.

Also verify these same settings in the Papervision Admin Console under the properties of the entity, "general" tab. You can modify these settings by selecting the "configure" button.

Make sure the MDAC version is at its newest, and update if necessary.

Be sure that if you are dealing with a restored database, that it was backed up and restored from a properly created BAK file, not just copying the .MDF and .LDF files to the database storage location.

***Papervision Xpress Users***

This occurs when the computer name or IP address changes. The Global connection updates, but the entity's connection (inside the Papervision Admin Console) is still pointing to the old IP or computer name. Use MSAccess or install the Papervision Admin Console to remedy this.
