Summary
This is often an indication that the Twain scanner driver or configuration file is missing or corrupt.
To troubleshoot and resolve the issue, perform the following steps:
- Turn the power off to the scanner.
- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall the driver for the applicable scanner.
- Click Start > Run and type in the following command: %System Drive%Documents and settings[CURRENT USER]local settingsapplication dataDigitech SystemsPaperVision.
- Locate and rename the TwainSettings.xml file (ex: TwainSettings.xml.old).
- Shut down and reboot the computer.
- Once the computer has restarted, ensure the scanner is still powered off, then re-install the latest scanner driver from the manufacturer.
- Once the driver has been installed, turn the scanner back on. Verify that Windows has found the new driver and returns a message (found in the System Tray) that the driver has been installed.
- Re-scan the necessary pages and upload them to PaperVision Enterprise.
