A user receives the above error message when trying to access the PaperVision Enterprise website that is hosted on a Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008 (64-bit) operating system.

Summary

This error occurs due to a conflict with the default compression type used specifically on Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008 (64-bit) operating system and the compression type used by the default PaperVision Enterprise website. To resolve this error, the following script utility must be executed on each server running the PaperVision Enterprise website as follows:

  1. From the machine, click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
  2. Highlight the Command Prompt option, right-click and select “Run as Administrator”. Click <Yes> to any User Account Control (UAC) prompts.
  3. From the Command Prompt, type the following command: %windir%system32inetsrvappcmd.exe set config -section:system.webServer/httpCompression /-[name='xpress']
  4. Press ENTER to execute the command.
  5. Once the command completes, type EXIT to close the Command Prompt window.

The compression type on the server will be updated and users will be able to access the PaperVision Enterprise website without receiving the above error message.
