How to include full-text with images when using Directory Manager.main image

Description

Explanation on how to include full-text with images when using Directory Manager.

Summary

When using Directory Manager to perform a batch import of image files, you also have the ability to import the full-text contents of the associated image file if indeed it does exist. If a file with the same name, but has a “.PVFULLTEXT” extension (i.e. documentname.PVFULLTEXT) exists in the same directory as the imported image file, the values in the .PVFULLTEXT file will automatically be used to populate the full-text data for that document.

Examples of what Directory Manager would recognize for loading images with full-text data (both files would need to exist in the same directory):

Acctpay.TIF & Acctpay.PVFULLTEXT

Johndoe.TIF & Johndoe.PVFULLTEXT

101204.TIF & 101204.PVFULLTEXT

If a multi-page file is being imported, textual pages in the .PVFULLTEXT file should be separated by a formfeed character.
