Receive Error 4587: Insufficient permissions.

Summary


  1. There are several things that can cause this error, anywhere from corrupted files to an installation of other software that overwrote something PaperFlow needs to function with this scanner.
  2. The first step is to exit PaperFlow and search Windows for the following two files: "SETSCAN.INI" and "PIXCACHE.INI" and delete both of them.
  3. Log back into PaperFlow and reselect the scanner.       If that does not work, reinstall PaperFlow. This will require you to uninstall PaperFlow first. Note: this will not affect your data groups in any way and PaperFlow will reconnect to them automatically once it is reinstalled.
  4. If that fails to resolve the issue, you will need to uninstall PaperFlow and search the system for "SETSCAN.INI" and delete it again. Then, search the system for "PIX*.*" and delete all files found, reboot, and reinstall PaperFlow. If you are using a scanner that requires drivers that are not available with PaperFlow, you will need to reinstall the scanner drivers as well.
