Search results have a different column order than the project index order.main image

Description

The order of columns after performing a search in PaperVision Enterprise does not match.

Summary

Summary:

After adding a new index field to a project in a particular position instead of at the end of the index list, then performing a search on that project, the search results show the new index field as the last column instead of mirroring the index list order.

Description:

The project’s index field order constitutes the default page layout for search results in that project. However, any user changes to a search results page in a project overrides the default page layout. If a user has customized a search result page for a project by clicking and dragging columns around to change their order, the new default page layout will not automatically be applied for that user. They need to reset the layout to default.

To resolve this, follow the steps below:

  1. If the user has not logged out since project index changes were made, log out and back into PaperVision Enterprise in the browser.
  2. Perform any search on the project in question.
  3. Once on a search results page, click the logged in username in the top right corner to expand the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Reset Page Layout.
  5. Click Yes to the dialog box that pops up asking for confirmation.
  6. The column order will now be the same as the project index field order.
