Description

When attempting to search for documents in PaperVision Enterprise, after clicking Search, the “Working” dialog box remains on the screen with no error message and the search results page doesn’t display.

Summary

This issue may be a result of the HTTP Activation feature not being installed from Programs > Turn Windows features on or off.

This option can be installed using the Turn Windows features on or off option, or directly through the Server Manager depending on the Operating System.

In Windows Server 2008 R2, launch Server Manager > Select Roles > Add Roles > Click Next > Select Application Server > Click Add Required Role Services > Click Next (2x) > Expand Windows Process Activation Service Support > Select HTTP Activation > Click Add Required Features > Click Next and then click Install. Close Server Manager once the install completes.

In Windows Server 2012 R2, launch Server Manager > Select Add roles and features > Click Next (4x) until you get to Select features > Expand .NET Framework 4.5 Features > Expand WCF Services > Select HTTP Activation. Click Install. Close Server Manager once the install completes.

After installing the HTTP Activation feature, the PaperVision website and Application Pools need to be removed, and then recreate the website using the site creation wizard. To run the wizard, open an elevated Command Prompt in Windows, and type the following: "C:Program Files (x86)\Digitech Systems\PaperVision\PVEClient\DSI.PVEConfiguration.Utility.exe" /createsite.

Press Enter to launch the configuration wizard. Enter the necessary data for the Configure PaperVision Enterprise Server Site and then click Next to enter any remaining relevant data and complete the wizard.
