Cannot Create a Batch; No available Jobs for Entity 1.main image

Description

A user logs in to the Capture Operator Console and tries to create a new batch, but receives the following error message: Cannot Create a Batch; No available Jobs for Entity 1.

Summary

This error can occur because of one of the following conditions:

  • The job is active but is not checked in.
  • The job is checked in but is not active.
  • The current user is not assigned to any start steps.
  • There are no jobs created for the entity.

To resolve this issue, simply do the following:

  1. In the Admin Console, open the job by double-clicking it.
  2. Ensure the job is checked in. If not, check the job in.
  3. Make sure the job is active. If not, with the job checked out, click the “Activate Job” button, then check the job in.
  4. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, review the job to ensure the user receiving the error is indeed assigned to a job step(s) that is flagged as a Start Step. If not, make the appropriate changes and check the job in.

The user will now be able to successfully create a batch in the Operator Console.
