Batch stuck in transmission due to shutting down computer before the batch is fully transitionedmain image

Description

A user has submitted a batch using the PaperVision Capture Operator Console and then the user shuts down their machine before the batch can complete the transition to the master batch path. This issue can also happen if there is a sudden loss of power that causes the client machine to reboot while a batch is in transition.

Summary

Correcting Stuck in Transmission issues caused by Power Failures, and/or turning the PC off at the wrong time.

To resolve this, follow the steps below:

  1. Browse to the following location using Windows Explorer (Note: If a different Command Files path was selected during installation, check the PaperVision Capture Setup Tool for the proper path):
  2. Default Windows XP/2003 path - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Digitech Systems\PaperVision\Data Transfer Agent\CmdFiles\
  3. Default Windows Vista, 2008, 7 path - C:\ProgramData\Digitech Systems\PaperVision\Data Transfer Agent\CmdFiles\
  4. Locate the file with the .INPROGRESS
  5. Rename the Extension to .FAILED.
  6. Login into the operator console, and click on the Retransmit Batches icon in the toolbar.
  7. This should start the batch re-transmission again and should complete unless there are additional issues that need to be addressed.
