How to connect a PaperVision Enterprise Local Client to an existing PaperVision Enterprise Servermain image

Description

The steps outlined in this article are required to set up a functional instance of the PaperVision Enterprise Local Client. This article assumes that a PaperVision Enterprise Server instance has been set up on a separate machine.

Note: In order to function properly, the PaperVision Enterprise Local Client requires an instance of the PaperVision Enterprise Server to be properly set up on another machine.


Summary

After you have installed and configured your PaperVision Enterprise Local Client, follow the instructions below to allow your Local Client to properly view images from the PaperVision Server.

To resolve this follow the steps below:

  1. Browse out to Program FilesDigitech SystemsCommon Files
  2. Open the PVDM.ini file using Notepad.exe
  3. Add the following two lines of information, then save and close the file.  [PVDM]  REDIRECTREQ=http://yourappservernamehere/
  4. You should now be able to view images from your Local Client machine.

Notes:

If you forget to add the redirect statement, you may receive the error code listed below:

LoadDocInfo.pvtCachePageRange.CachePage.PVDMSystem: Error -28000 [Servername] was unable to locate image file
