Description
When attempting to access the PaperVision login page, the following message is displayed: “Service Unavailable”.
This is generally only a problem in earlier versions of IIS on Windows Server 2003.
Summary
This is caused by having either a bad or missing installation of ASP.NET.
- Ensure the Microsoft .Net Framework is installed
- Launch Windows Update (or Microsoft Update)
- Install all updates for Microsoft .Net Framework
- Once all updates are installed, access Windows Update again to verify no additional updates are available
- Repeat until all updates are installed
- Install ASP.NET
- Open Control Panel and select Add or Remove Programs
- Select Add/Remove Windows Components
- Highlight Application Server and click Details
- Highlight Internet Information Services (IIS) and click Details
- Enable Active Server Pages and click OK
- Once the installations are complete, access the PaperVision Enterprise login page and you should now be able to log in successfully
