Description

When attempting to send files to SharePoint, The user receives the following error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Digitech Systems\PaperVision SharePoint Tools\PaperVisionSendToSharePoint.exe The filename or extension is too long.

Summary

This error may occur when the full path (i.e. C:\test\my_image.jpg) of files being sent to SharePoint exceeds an aggregate of 31537 characters.

Resolution:

Reduce the aggregate full path character count by sending the files from a shorter path (i.e. C:\test\my_image.jpg vs. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\test\my_image.jpg) or by reducing the number of files sent per transmission.
